Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's children - was born at Woodland Hills in 1956. The mother of the child was home and also mother to her children. She has three older brothers: Michael Dennis and Kevin. Beginning at a very early stage of life, McCormick loved to sing as well as dance. She would also perform puppet shows for youngsters in the area. At the age 6, McCormick won the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest. Pat Domigan from the Jack Wormser Agency then called McCormick to inquire whether she was looking to pursue a career in showbusiness. McCormick was offered her first gig as a leading actress in the year 1964. She was featured in an advertisement for Mattels the newest doll baby Pattaburp. She subsequently starred in the role of Chatty Cathy in a commercial and was then cast for the show Wind It up and It's Broken in The La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick, chosen from more than 200 auditioned kids, played the third of three head-to-head daughters, in The Brady Bunch (1969), starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. The show ran for five years. McCormick wrote in her 2008 memoir Heres the Story : Surviving Marcia Brady & Finding My True Voice she almost lost her virginity during the fifth season with Barry Williams, her co-star and on-screen brother. He was 19. She was 16. The woman said it might have been possible, but we never had the right moment to make the decision.
