The early achievements of Maureen FitzSimons in the field of the arts of performance, and which are now known as Maureen O'Hara, would certainly have qualified her to be a child prodigy. This was not surprising as a girl who was of Irish descent, who grew up in a gifted family. Maureen entered this loving haven located in Ranelagh, Ireland on August 17th of 1920. Marguerita L. FitzSimons made a name for herself with her contralto. Charles FitzSimons was a successful businessman in Dublin who also owned a piece of the Irish Shamrock Rovers, a soccer club in Ireland. Maureen FitzSimons was second in a family of six FitzSimons. Peggy FitzSimons Florrie Charles B. Fitzsimons Margot Fitzsimons James O'Hara rounded off the gorgeous family. Maureen enjoyed playing sporting games in her youth and grew up to be a champion in sports. Her naturally-born interest with her ability to perform was impressive. Her winning of almost all the Feis awards for her native country's theater and drama proved the fact that she was a natural performer. At the age of 14, at the age of 14, the Abbey Theater accepted her and allowed her to live out her dreams of classical and opera.
